I have ocd I mean its partially there now. When I started taking session I was not in a good situation mentally and physically but now I feel really good. When I first brought my child to this clinic, it was a real struggle even trying to get her inside the clinic and make her sit through the 30-45 mins of assessment and i needed help from 2 other family members to make it possible, it was impossible to take her to markets without any added help because of the hyperactivity and unpredictability of behaviour, she could converse in english only, that too stating her needs and no 2 ways conversation, her sitting span was remarkably low for her age. I couldn’t even think about getting her admitted to school at that time due to her needs She was initially started on behavioral and speech therapy by Miss Ifrah and Miss Zainab. Gradually, over a period of 1-2 months, it started becoming easier to make her sit for the whole session in one go without making any efforts, she started communicating better and initiated and carry on 2 way interaction while talking to someone. She started getting increasingly social and made friends. Her aggression and unpredictability settled. Focus improved. Her activities started becoming goal directed. Then her assessment was done by academic therapist (meanwhile she was admitted to a mainstream school as well),with the continuous help and support by Miss Samiya, she has been doing really above expectation in her school and is said to be one of the brighter students of her class, alhamdulillah and she continues to grow and amaze people around her by her progress. It took a few months to see any noticeable improvement but after that things started getting better at an amazing pace alhamdulillah. With every day that goes by, I continue to strengthen my hope that one day, by the will of Allah, she will be considered normal enough to be included in the society (almost, if not completely), as a neurotypical person.

Iqra has been vital in Haider's progress over the last few months. Not only has his speech improved but his behavior has also seen a marked improvement; especially in the areas of increased focus, greater attention span, instruction following/compliance, waiting, and turn-taking.
